Maryland FFA Alumni
Agriculture teachers rely on FFA alumni members to help ease the outside commitments of teaching, bring more support to agricultural education programs and give teachers more freedom to do what they do best - teach kids!
FFA relies on alumni members for student recruiting, scholarship money, aiding in camps, conferences, national FFA convention and other personal development programs. The high level of commitment the FFA Alumni offers the National FFA Organization and the communities in which they live helps make FFA students' lives better.

FFA Commemorative Coin
The National FFA Commemorative Coin Act will seek a U.S. minted commemorative coin honoring the 85th anniversary of the National FFA Organization in 2012. The FFA is working with key leaders in Congress to promote and gain co-sponsors of the bill. In order for the bill to emerge from committee, FFA organizers must list 67 Senate and 290 House co-sponsors.

Maryland Agricultural Fair Board
Mike Miller, MD Senate President and the Administration have introduced Senate Bill 141 with a corresponding House Bill 151 which would eliminate Maryland Agricultural Fair Board (MAFB) funding. There is strong consensus now on the
impact the legislation would have. (SB 141, page 27, line 9) A letter drafted by the Maryland Association of Fairs and Shows can be used as a template for you to contact your State Senators. The letter talks about the impact this would have on FFA, 4-H and the Fairs and Shows. While our primary focus may be the impact on FFA it is important that we support one another at this time. Phone calls are also an effective way to voice your dissent for this legislation. Letter Template
